Weingarten, Württemberg
town in the valley of the Schussen River, in the district of Ravensburg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
Weingarten (German pronunciation: [ˈvaɪ̯nˌɡaʁtn̩] (listen), German for "wine garden"; Low Alemannic: Wãẽgaade) is a town in Baden-Württemberg. In 2020, has a population of 25,000 people. The town was called Altdorf before. It was renamed Weingarten in 1865. The name comes from the Weingarten Abbey.
