Z'EV

American percussionist (1951-2017)

Z'EV (born Stefan Joel Weisser, February 8, 1951 – December 16, 2017) was an American poet,[1][2] percussionist,[3][4] and sound artist.[5][6] He was known for creating his own percussion sounds out of industrial materials for many of record labels. He was called a pioneer of industrial music.[7]

Z'EV was critically injured in the Cimarron train derailment which took place near Dodge City, Kansas on March 14, 2016.[8] Since the accident he suffered from many health problems and died on December 16, 2017 of sepsis at the age of 66.
