Ōakura

town in Taranaki, New Zealand

Ōakura is a small township in the Taranaki Region of New Zealand's North Island. It is located 15 kilometers south-west of New Plymouth on State Highway 45. Ōkato is 12 kilometers further south-west. It was hit by a tornado in July 2007.
