Ayaz Niyazi oglu Mutallibov (Azerbaijani: Ayaz Niyazi oğlu Mütəllibov, Russian: Аяз Ниязoвич Муталибов; 12 May 1938 – 27 March 2022) was an Azerbaijani politician. He was the last leader of Soviet Azerbaijan. Mutallibov was also the first President of independent Azerbaijan. He was president from October 1991 until May 1992.
