Ar-Ramtha

Ar-Ramtha (Arabic: الرَّمثا, romanized: ar-Ramṯā), is a city located north of Jordan, in the Irbid Governorate near the border with Syria. The city’s population reached 164,211 in 2017.

As for the population of Ramtha municipality, it is estimated at about 263,680 thousand people. Thus, it is the sixth largest municipality in Jordan after Greater Amman Municipality, Greater Irbid Municipality, Zarqa Municipality, Rusaifa Municipality and Mafraq Municipality.
