As a result of Bedirhan Bey's rebellion in 1845 by forming an alliance with the Kurdish Beys and the increasing pressure from the Western states to punish Bedirhan Bey after the Nestorian expedition he organized in 1846, the Sublime Porte decided to eliminate Bedirhan Bey. In line with this, the Ottoman State, which was making military preparations, also took steps through governors to resolve this issue peacefully with Bedirhan Bey and other Kurdish Beys
