Belmond is a city in Iowa in the United States. According to the 2020 census, there are 2,463 people living in Belmond[4] and the town's area is 2.8 miles, all of it land. The largest racial ethnic group that exists are Whites forming around 82% of the total population.[5]

History change
On October 14, 1966, at about 2:55pm, Belmond was hit by an F5 tornado which killed six people and destroyed 650 homes.[6]
