He played college basketball for the UNLV Runnin' Rebels. He has also played professionally for the Philadelphia 76ers, Charlotte Hornets, and the Milwaukee Bucks in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
On March 14, 2020, Wood tested positive for the coronavirus during the pandemic and the suspension of the season.[2]
