Detroit: Become Human is an adventure video game. It was published by Sony Interactive Entertainment and was developed by Quantic Dream. The game was first released on 25 May 2018 for the PlayStation 4.[1] It was also later released on 12 December 2019 for Windows.[2]

The game is set in 2038 Detroit. The player controls three androids called Kara, Connor, and Markus. Each of them have a different goal. Kara has become sentient and wants to protect a little girl named Alice. Connor does detective work to try and hunt for androids that have gained sentience. Markus becomes sentient and wants to help make other androids sentient as well.[3] There are multiple ending depending on the players actions.[4]

Reception change

The game was very well liked by both game critics and players. Critics said that they liked the setting, story, characters, and visuals.[5][6][7]

Since December 2023, Detroit: Become Human has sold over 9 million copies worldwide.[8] It is also the best selling game released by Quantic Dream.[9]
