Ed Asner
Eddie Asner (November 15, 1929 – August 29, 2021), better known as Ed Asner, was an American actor, voice artist and former president of the Screen Actors Guild.[2]

Early life
changeAsner was born Eddie Asner in Kansas City, Missouri on November 15, 1929.
He was the president of Screen Actors Guild.
He was best known for his Emmy Award winning role Lou Grant on both the Mary Tyler Moore Show and Lou Grant. In 2009, he voiced Carl Fredricksen in the Pixar movie Up. In 2011, Asner returned to television as butcher Hank Greziak in Working Class, the first original sitcom on cable CMT. He is currently starring in a Canadian television series Michael, Tuesdays and Thursdays, on CBC Television. Asner was born in Kansas City, Missouri,[3] but was raised in Chicago, Illinois. Asner was married to Nancy Sykes from 1959 to 1988; they have four children. He married Cindy Gilmore from 1998 to 2007. California Governor Gavin Newsom is his nephew by marriage.
Asner died of natural causes on August 29, 2021 in Los Angeles, California at the age of 91.[4]
