Eshaq Jahangiri

Eshaq Jahangiri Kouhshahi (Persian: اسحاق جهانگیری کوهشاهی, pronounced [esˈhɒːɢ dʒæhɒ:ŋˈgi:ɾi: ku:hʃɒ:ˈhi:]; born 21 January 1958) is an Iranian politician and vice president of Hassan Rouhani's government. Jahangiri was the minister of industries and mines from 1997 to 2005 under President Mohammad Khatami.

Before that, he was the governor of Isfahan Province. He was also a member of Parliament for two terms.[2]
On 4 March 2020, after the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic, it was reported that Jahangiri had been infected with SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes coronavirus disease 2019.[3] On 11 March, his infection was confirmed.[4]
