Frank Sheeran
Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran (October 25, 1920 – December 14, 2003) was an American labor union official. He was accused of having links to the Bufalino crime family.

Sheeran was a figure in the corruption of unions by organized crime. Sheeran claimed to have killed Teamster leader Jimmy Hoffa in 1975.[3] He is played by Robert De Niro in the 2019 Netflix The Irishman directed by Martin Scorsese.[4]
Sheeran died of cancer on December 14, 2003 in Philadelphia at the age of 83.
Early life
changeFrank Sheeran was born on October 25, 1920, in Camden, New Jersey. He was raised by an Irish working-class family.[5][6] Early on in his career Sheeran had multiple different jobs including working as a assistant carnival baker and teaching dance.[7]
In 1941 after Attack on Pearl Harbor, Sheeran enlisted in the United States Army and where he was was stationed in North Africa and Europe for more than 400 days. He participated in the Battle of the Bulge, Western Allied invasion of Germany, and Allied invasion of Sicily. In the fall of 1945, he was discharged.[8][9]
