The International Olympic Committee's official abbreviation for Guyana is GUY.[1] In 1964, it was GUI for British Guiana.[2]
History

Michael Anthony won a bronze medal at the 1980 Summer Olympics in boxing.
The Guyana Olympic Association was formed in 1935 and recognized by the International Olympic Committee in 1948.[3]
