Jeotgalicoccus halotolerans is a gram-positive bacterium. [1] The cells are coccoid. The diameter lies between 0,6 and 1,1 µm.[1] They are facultative anaerobic bacteria: They can use oxygen when it is present. It is moderate halophilic, it growth in the presence of 0–20% NaCl.[1]
