Lowell Weicker

Lowell Palmer Weicker Jr. (May 16, 1931 – June 28, 2023) was an American politician and lawyer. He was the Governor of Connecticut.[1] He served as governor from 1991 to 1995. Weicker was a Republican. He ran for President of the United States in 1980, but lost the primary to Ronald Reagan.
From 1971 to 1989, Weicker was the United States Senator from Connecticut. From 1969 to 1971, Weicker represented the state's 4th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives.
Weicker, Jr. was born in Paris, France to American parents. He died on June 28, 2023 at a hospital in Middletown, Connecticut at the age of 92.[2]
