Manuel Gutiérrez Mellado

Spanish general and politician (1912–1995)

Manuel Gutiérrez Mellado (April 30, 1912 – December 15, 1995) was a Spanish politician and general. He was the Deputy Prime Minister of Spain under Adolfo Suárez. He served from 23 September 1976 through 26 February 1981. He was also Spain's first Minister of Defense from 1977 to 1979.
