Nothing Was the Same is the third studio album by Drake. It was released in September 2013. It was promoted by the hit songs "Started from the Bottom" and "Hold On, Were Going Home". It is very different from Drake's previous album Take Care.

The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, selling 658,000 album-equivalent units.[1] It was 2013's second highest selling album in the first week of release and was also the highest selling first week hip hop album since Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV in 2011.[1]
Nothing Was the Same would be certified 6× Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).[2] The album would be nominated for Best Rap Album at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.[3] It would win Album of the Year at the 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards and Rap Recording of the Year at the 2014 Juno Awards.[4][5]
The album features the singles "Started from the Bottom" on February 6, 2013, "Hold On, We're Going Home" on August 7, "All Me" on September 24, "Pound Cake" on September 26, "The Language" on October 29, "Too Much" on October 31, and "Worst Behavior" on June 9, 2014
