Prabowo Subianto Djojohadikusumo (born 17 October 1951) is an Indonesian politician, businessperson and retired Army honorary General who has been the 8th President of Indonesia since 2024.

Subianto ran for president three times. He ran in 2014, 2019 and in 2024. Prabowo was elected in a landslide victory in 2024.^[1]

Personal life

Prabowo Subianto was born in Jakarta, Indonesia. His father is Sumitro Djojohadikusumo, an economist, and his mother is Dora Sigar. He was the husband of the late President Suharto's second daughter, Titiek Suharto. They were married in 1983 and divorced in 1998 during the Indonesian political crisis.^[2]
