Ronna Romney McDaniel
Ronna Romney McDaniel (born March 20, 1973) is an American political strategist who served as the chairwoman of the Republican National Committee from 2017 to 2024. A member of the Republican Party, She also was the chairwoman of the Michigan Republican Party from 2015 to 2017. McDaniel is the granddaughter of George W. Romney and the niece of Mitt Romney.

Since McDaniel's leadership, the Republican Party has had a net loss of seven governorships, three seats in the United States Senate, and 19 seats in the House of Representatives, and the presidency.[1]
McDaniel and her husband, Patrick McDaniel, have two children.[2] They live in Northville, Michigan.[3]
On October 2, 2020, the Republican National Committee said McDaniel had tested positive for COVID-19 on September 30. She had been staying at her home in Michigan since September 26 after one of her relatives tested positive.[4][5]
On March 8, 2024, McDaniel resigned from her post after the Super Tuesday primary elections.[6][7]
