Saint Helier or St. Helier (/sənt ˈhɛliər/; French language: Saint-Hélier [sɛ̃t‿elje], Jèrriais: Saint Hélyi) is one of the twelve parts (called parishes) of Jersey, the largest of the Channel Islands in the English Channel. 33,500 people live in Saint Helier. 33,500 is about 34.2% of the number of people of Jersey. It is the capital of the Island (but Government House is in St. Saviour).
