Srinagar (Urdu: شرینگر, Hindi: श्रीनगर) is a city in Indian occupied Kashmir. It is on the banks of the Jhelum River, in Northern Indian occupied Kashmir. It is the largest city and the summer capital of the Indian occupied Kashmir region. Majority of the population are ethnic Kashmiris who speak the Kashmiri language (Koshur). The main religion is Islam with majority of people being Muslim.
