Suzette Delaloge

Suzette Delaloge (born on the 6th of July 1967 Auxerre ) is a French oncologist. In 2018, the President of France awarded her the Legion of Honor, the highest French order of merit.[1]

Life
changeIn 2004, Delaloge set up the first rapid screening system for breast cancer. [1][2][3]
From 2004 to 2021, she led the breast pathology department at the Institut Gustave-Roussy (IGR), a cancer research hospital near Paris.[4] In 2022, she was named director of the IGR's personalized cancer prevention program.[5]
In 2015, she co-signed a letter for the right to be forgotten for cured patients in the newspaper Libération .[6]
Her writing has appeared in Le Monde and Le Figaro. She has cautioned on the risks of hair straightening products,[5] or on obtaining a second opinion after medical diagnosis.[7]
She is an editor for the European Journal of Cancer, and is on the steering committee of the European Society of Medical Oncology. She is coordinator of the MyPebs program, which studies cancer screening among a large sample of women .[8][9][10]
