Choice of words

I do not believe it is either necessary or good to refer to the German Empire as "Second Reich" in this article. For one thing, in all the time I studied history, I didn't encounter this term generally.
- Neutrality: Our own article on this period in German history says that "Second Reich" was something German nationalists (proto-Nazis) liked to say (and they didn't start saying it until after the German Empire ended), and I don't think we should promote Nazi or Nazi-adjacent ways of thinking and speaking or allow them to sneak in.
- Relevance: The nickname of the empire that used to run the country where the subject of this article lives is not really relevant to this article. Darkfrog24 (talk) 16:13, 14 October 2021 (UTC)

- Without leaving a redirect, there was a consensus on the English Wikipedia that Uunona was not notable. I, personally, still don't think he is notable enough for our Wikipedia – he is only known for one event – but people disagreed, so we have the article. --Ferien (talk) 19:04, 26 January 2022 (UTC)

Ompundja Constituency

Can someone get this page semi-protected?
changeThis page has been the constant victim of juvenile, bad-faith edits and vandalism, labelling Mr. Uunona as, and I quote, "Gay Bowser", "Black Nigger Thats Fat", and of course, most frequently, Adolf Hitler. If there are any more appropriate ways of stopping the rampant vandalism then of course go ahead with those, but I don't think there's much of a point to anything other than protecting the page. 82.132.214.152 (talk) 09:52, 1 December 2023 (UTC)

What's with the Vandalism?

- @Kirkukturk3: They probably know there's guidelines but simply ignore them. We have quite a few of these, even experienced ones that come over from the big English Wikipedia after they get blocked there. —76.212.74.243 (talk) 00:24, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- It is extremely not funny and I assume many of these users aren't even from the English Wikipedia, they're users who haven't hit the age of puberty who thinks that the Simple English Wikipedia is an "alternative" for vandalism. Kirkukturk3 (talk) 00:28, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
