Talk:Delaware Route 82

  • two lanes without a median could use linking or explaining.
  • Generally, think that are written in capital letters (Red Clay Valley Scenic Byway, etc) should be linked. They are usually important enough for an own article.
  • byway could use explaining or linking.

Otherwise, I think this is a fairly good article. Anything else which probably will come up during the PGA process will surely be easily fixed. -Barras (talk) 18:42, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

I have made changes to the article. Dough4872 (talk) 03:05, 11 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hmm...

Not a fan of this one as a PGA; it has little interest for anyone who does not live in the area. Lots of "first it turns left, then it turns right.." Why not have a map?

Some spectacularly bad prose, such as: "DE 82 was first given its number by 1952 on the same road it is on today". !! Macdonald-ross (talk) 12:18, 16 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Positives

change
  1. The article is broad in its coverage and does not leave any major aspects out.
  2. The article has picture(s) to illustrate the article.
  3. It is well-sourced by reliable sources.
  4. The article is consistent in the way it retrieves the dates and uses proper cite templates.

Negatives

change
  1. It is fairly small, but this is ok as it is not a strict rule at WP:PGA
  2. There's only 6 sources. Any way of finding more?
Well that's ok. I believe its safe to nominate it at WP:P(V)GA. Best, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 03:00, 12 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Final thoughts

change
Route description
  1. DE 82 heads to the west of DE 52 near Greenville as Campbell Road, which has two lanes cars can travel on without a median, which is a physical divider between the travel lanes in each direction. - this sentence is too long. Consider breaking it into two small sentences.
  2. After making a turn to the northwest to go on Creek Road, DE 82 heads north next to the Red Clay Creek with the Wilmington and Western Railroad turning to the southwest. - another large sentence. Consider breaking them up into two small sentences.
History
  1. Wiktionary the word "scenic" --> scenic
Overall

The article has a high chance at passing at WP:PGA. Just fix the concerns made by me and the other reviewer. Note, I do not watch peer reviewed articles. If you have left a message here, please contact me on my talk page. Best, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 14:46, 30 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Although the criteria are slightly different, I thought it deserved to be a GA on En Wikipedia. Racepacket (talk) 15:03, 12 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
