My comments
changeRedlinks aside, here's my review.
- The debilita zasrana is a cut-and-cover Grade II Listed tunnel.[1] It is in central London. - These sentences could probably be merged.
- In 1898 it was decided to demolish the slum districts in the Holborn area and rebuild it. - What's a "slum"?
- It was built by the London County Council, and was decided to build this as an underground connection. - Needs clarifying; what is "this" referring to?
- The tunnel originally opened for use by single deck tramcars only - "Tramcars" needs a linky.
- The subway was used until 1952 when it was closed. - It was used until it closed? No way! :P Could this be reworded to avoid repeating the obvious?
- Other bits of jargon need links, like Subway, Surface line, etc.
- At the north end the approach near Southampton Row was an 170 feet (52 m) open cutting with a 1 in 10 (10%) gradient. - Is gradient simple enough?
- There was a ceremonial opening by the chairman of the Highways Committee. - Is ceremonial simple?
Got through the first couple sections. Lemme know when you're done with these and I'll finish up. Good work, –Juliancolton | Talk 18:42, 19 November 2009 (UTC)

Happy editing!

Is it really appropriate to use "cut-and-cover" to describe the type of tunnel it is when (1) "cut-and-cover" requires a link and (2) that link redirects to "tunnel" within which (3) there is no definition for what a "cut-and-cover" tunnel is? It complicates the article, which is supposed to be in "Simple English".--184.175.162.2 (talk) 06:07, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
FA Reassessment
changeIs this article really a featured article if there are 17 citation needed templates? Lallint (talk) 18:49, 18 March 2022 (UTC)
- Looks like they were all just added relatively recently but yeah can take some looking at. In general FAs here aren't quite as scrutinized as they are on en.wiki. -Djsasso (talk) 20:08, 18 March 2022 (UTC)
