Huji told me most bans are for a day, and vandal only indef. But even if you are on MEZ I am on GMT so there might be a sudden surge of hatred in the next 45 mins :)
My internet connection is not nocturnal so congrats in advance/not advance. depending on time zones --Bärliner 23:19, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

Administrator
Congratulations, you're now an administrator. I suggest you take a quick re-read of our policies and guidelines, and make sure you check your email regularly. If you ever need any help at all, you can always ask me or another administrator. Thanks, Archer7 - talk 00:35, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- In response to your previous question about blocks, here's a quick guide. If an account has done nothing but vandalism, you can give it an 'indefinite' block. If an account has a mix of good and bad/ignores warnings, use common sense, but usually over a week would be a bit harsh. For IP addresses, never block them indefinitely unless they're an open proxy. A 24 hour block is usually best, but if they keep coming back you can increase it. When it comes to range blocks, see the article on MediaWiki.org if you're desperate to find out how to do them. Blocks are mainly common sense, but feel free to block for 24 hours and ask for help if you're unsure, we can always change it. Let me know if you have any more questions, Archer7 - talk 01:16, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

You need to fix the block you just gave an IP address..read the above, never indef block an IP address. Razorflame 01:47, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

- Hi, congrats, you're now an admin here! ;)
- Just a little piece of advice: re-read the simple.wikipedia policies, so that you're sure you're familiar with them.
- Bearing in mind policies like the policy about blocks and bans, the deletion policy, the protection policy, etc. is always useful, especially these first days, when you're all nervous and interested in testing stuff and everything.
- Cheers! FrancoGG ( talk ) 02:41, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Protecting pages
Hey there Gwib! When you protect vandalism targets, you usually block them for a few days, or in rare cases, a few months, not permanently. Just letting you know. Razorflame 23:12, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- When I checked the history of pie, you get some vandalism in January (2007), May, June, November and now January again. Since the vandalism is not bad, there isn't any need to fully protect the page. However the vandals come back frequently so an indefinite protection is in order, IMO.
- Gwib -(talk)- 23:17, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- Not according to the policy. The policy states that vandalism should get temporary protection, not indef. Razorflame 23:18, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- If that's what the policy says, I won't go against it. But with a vandal attack on it every month or so, a 1 week block won't have any effects and it would save time to just indefinitely protect it.
- Gwib -(talk)- 23:20, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- Some pages get permanent and then get reviewed - like Adolf Hitler but rarely needed permanently I think and pie is only once a quarter. I think a week will see off the current trend and then back to normal for all editors.. Hope I am right.--Bärliner 23:21, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- A one week block will suffice for now. Razorflame 23:22, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

thanks for the link... the song was pretty cool. I havnt heard of the guy before, do you listen to him lots then? - Glad you liked it though!
- Gwib -(talk)- 15:08, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- lol, i don't like rap either :S .... but yeah the song was good...^&^ wot othr bands do yu lyk? Ben.(Talk).(Changes) 15:49, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Jimi Hendrix (I was the one who pushed up the Hendrix article here to VG status), Johnny Winter, Robert Johnson, Iron Maiden, Guns N Roses.
- You?
- Gwib -(talk)- 16:10, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- cool... er... many things really. Club, pop, rock :D Gwen Stefani is pretty cool lol. How come all the bands you like are english? they must hav some good ones in switzerland? Ben.(Talk).(Changes) 16:17, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Not all those bands are english. Hendrix was American, Johnson was American and the GNR lead singer is Scottish :p
- Swiss bands are awful; far to influenced by french music which is also awful. I don't listen to much pop or hip hop, but I like Rhianna, she's really very good at singing.
- Gwib -(talk)- 16:36, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- the GNR lead singer is Scottish ..?.. He may be of Scottish decent (Scots-Irish and German actually), but he was American born. Actually, with the exception of Maiden, all the bands/people listed are American (if that is Robert Johnson, the early 20th century (1920s-ish) blues guitarist and not some random guy named Robert Johnson.. it is a fairly common name). -- Creol(talk) 16:50, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
You're right, I thought he was Scottish but apparently he's, as Creol put it, Scots-Irish and German (whatever that it!).
But yes, that's Robert Johnson, blues God and the one who started the explosion of black blues singing <3. Gwib -(talk)- 16:54, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Scots-Irish and German would be one parent is part Scottish, part Irish and the other parent was German or at least descended from those peoples. His father could have been German or his fathers great great great grandfather could have been and he could still claim being of German descent. -- Creol(talk) 17:06, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Interesting, although I doubt that Axl would be closely related to any German due to lack of an accent, he does wear a kilt and a Sgian Dubh to several of his concerts. Gwib -(talk)- 17:11, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Since we wasn't realy closely related to his father in more than just genetics (his father left home when he was around 2) any guess on how closely he is related is questionable. Then again it could be his mothers side of the family that was German, so who realy knows .. or actually realy cares that much.. (so why am I still talking about it...) *wanders off mumbling useless facts to himself* -- Creol(talk) 17:21, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hahaha! Poor Creol with his vast plain of knowledge that no one wants to hear :p. How do you know so much about GNR? Are you a big fan? Gwib -(talk)- 17:33, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

look
its not my fault I didnt know how to deal with the edit conflict! I'm trying to correct it now :) Ben.(Talk).(Changes) 19:04, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
thank you for removing that weird stuff from my page... Ben(Talk).(Changes) 22:01, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Not everything can be blamed on that particular edit conflict. You reverted the changes of other people without them being vandalism, you kept on reverting things even after being asked not to and you tried to include the whole of En Wiki as a vote for something here. None of those were caused by edit conflicts, I'm sure. Gwib -(talk)- 22:04, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- I didnt say they were... only the first thing. The reason I reverted the rest of it is because they reverted mine without being backed up by any policy. Therefore... according to policy, they themselves were technically vandalizing valid contributions. Ben(Talk).(Changes) 22:18, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Homer Simpson
Remember to remove the "Very Good Articles" tag from the article to as your changes are broad enough that the article would need to be revoted on. (side point, it was not in any way a copyright violation.) -- Creol(talk) 21:15, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Will do, but even if they weren't a copyright violation it's true that they were almost identical to the EN Wiki article. Scorpion0422 has overreacted ever so slightly. --Gwib -(talk)- 21:16, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
I read your reply, and I appreciate what you're doing, but it just seems to me that nobody really seems to care. Basically two experienced users have told me it was okay. -- Scorpion0422 (talk) 21:42, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- It's not OK, I'm sure. But you shouldn't compare Wikipedia to the school system. We don't have copyright infringements here as long as we take a neutral stance. And honestly, that's what tags are for. En Wiki has tags for "This article needs cleaning", "This article is biased", "This article isn't sourced". Here we have a tag for "This article is copied from En Wiki". It's not something we don't care about, it's just an improvement we need to make on the article. --Gwib -(talk)- 21:45, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Is the user that copied the pages going to be reprimanded in any way? I mean, he didn't even attempt to simplify the language, it was all basically copy and paste. And again, I'd just like to apologize for my spastic behaviour. I'm a rather prolific editor at the English wiki, and I can assure you I don't normally act like this, I just overreacted. -- Scorpion0422 (talk) 21:56, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Probably not. Here, if an article is an en copy-paste, listed here, then it's considered just as an imperfection in an article, just as one of your articles has a cleanup needed tag or an Unsourced tag. It makes the article less credible since it isn't "simple", but no editor will be reprimanded for making that article messy or adding an uncertain fact to it. --Gwib -(talk)- 22:02, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
WTF!! What happened. Why did you erase mass amounts of info from the article?!? --§ Snake311 (T + C) 02:11, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Feel free to add it back, but I simplified some, loads of references were broken and there were whole paragraphs which were irrelevant, not simple in any way and directly copied from En Wiki. --Gwib -(talk)- 02:14, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Well I can't believe that mother-*#&%@!! Scorpion0422 framed me because of some violation which is completely ridicious and over-expressed. Also if he is a newbie user, he shouldn't act like that. what a queer. --§ Snake311 (T + C) 02:17, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- He took it to the Admins noticeboard and created a real fuss. But unfortunately he isn't a "newbie user", he edits a lot on En Wiki and wrote all the Simpsons articles over there. --Gwib -(talk)- 02:19, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- According to his edits, he came here just yesterday. --§ Snake311 (T + C) 02:28, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Here yes, but at En Wiki he's done over 20k edits and is therefore probably not a "newbie" as he knows how things work around here. --Gwib -(talk)- 02:35, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
hi
er... in the message you gave me you said the 'see also' goes below the references, and you provided two examples. One of the examples didn't have a page... and the other example did not have a 'see also' section. From looking at ENwiki, i think the order is 'see also', 'references', and then 'External Links'... ;p Ben(Talk).(Changes) 11:02, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- so i think the see also does come above the references...Ben(Talk).(Changes) 11:11, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- no no... further reading is a different think from see also... see here: [1]
The order is see also, notes, references, further reading, exturnal links, criticism... Ben(Talk).(Changes) 11:13, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- other webistes is exturnal links... see also is internal... Ben(Talk).(Changes) 11:14, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- surely the policies on that are the same? Oo Ben(Talk).(Changes) 11:15, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- and... homosexuality is just one example of where it proves otherwise... anyway, only logic will tell you where it was supposed to go, as people will be more interested in finding internal than external links... :) Ben(Talk).(Changes) 11:20, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- but if i don't question, how am i supposed to learn? i don't understand... some articles I have seen have it my way, some have your way... whereas on EN wiki... they all have it the same way (mine)... i'm not trying to say I'm right... but I just don't understand it... Ben(Talk).(Changes) 11:25, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- If it is true that your way is the 'correct one' on EN wiki... then all the others here need to be changed to that way... Ben(Talk).(Changes) 11:30, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- sorry i misworded that. I meant, if it is true that your way is the 'correct one' here, then all the other articles here will need to be changed to your format. Ben(Talk).(Changes) 11:35, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- however, we can only start to do this once a consensus has been reached on Simple Talk. And from what you wrote, it seems that you do not actually understand what the 'See Also' section is, as none of the articles you mentioned had it. Ben(Talk).(Changes) 11:38, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Deffo no hard feelings :))) We all just want whats best for the wikipedia. You're a great editor... just because people disagree doesn't mean they are disagreeing on a personal scale. I don't mind if i'm wrong... just as long as i can be shown whats wrong ;p ...ive said more on the simple wikipedia page thing. Ben(Talk).(Changes) 12:13, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Wow really? :D thanks Ben(Talk).(Changes) 12:47, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
I am replying here instead of where they were made as frankly, this convo on two pages thing gets confusing.. -- Creol(talk) 12:04, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- "Other websites" is a synonym of "See also". This is not true as he pointed out. See also if for internal links to other articles, Other websites is for external links to.. um.. other websites. See: Wikipedia:Guide_to_layout#Optional_sections.
- All VGA do not use the same layout. If you keep looking, some are S-R-O (Mouthpiece (brass)) and others R-S-O (Timpani).
- Oh.. Fine I was wrong, I'll just have to bite the bullet and admit it, as much of a beating as my pride will take. --Gwib -(talk)- 12:07, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- If it makes you feel any better, he was wrong in parts as well. En:WP guide to layout says the section order can be changed, so not all articles there follow the same path either. -- Creol(talk) 12:10, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- It does :) Thanks for that. --Gwib -(talk)- 12:42, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

- Cool, Thanks, Ok
I have made two Barnstars for my SimpleWikiProject Music.
Here are the long Codes for them:
{| style="border: 1px solid {{{border|gray}}}; background-color: {{{color|#fdffe7}}};"
|rowspan="2" valign="middle" | [[Image:MusicisSexymale.png|100px]]
|rowspan="2" |
|style="font-size: x-large; padding: 0; vertical-align: middle; height: 1.1em;" | '''The ''Music is Sexy'' Barnstar '''
|-
|style="vertical-align: middle; border-top: 1px solid gray;" |message
|}
&
{| style="border: 1px solid {{{border|gray}}}; background-color: {{{color|#fdffe7}}};"
|rowspan="2" valign="middle" | [[Image:Music is sexyfemle.png|100px]]
|rowspan="2" |
|style="font-size: x-large; padding: 0; vertical-align: middle; height: 1.1em;" | '''The ''Music is Sexy'' Barnstar '''
|-
|style="vertical-align: middle; border-top: 1px solid gray;" |message
|}
Could You please turn those two long codes into the two short Barnstar Templates below, please.
- {{subst:The Music is Sexy Male Barnstar|message~~~~
- {{subst:The Music is Sexy Femaile Barnstar|message~~~~
-Please... Thank-you ever so much... so just to recall, can you please turn those big long codes above, into these small templates, please.
- The first long code should go to the first Template and the second long code to the second template.
Thank -you, again
IuseRosary 18:56, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Can you help me with something else please?
As you know, I have created the SimpleWiki Project Music and I now have two Barnstrs which can be awarded to project users WP:BARN, But now I need to gwt more people involed in the project to get it more sucessful. How can I get people to know about it?
Thanks

Recently Deleted Page
Sorry Gwib, I meant to tag it as G3 (Vandalism), but no need to restore the page to make the tagging correct. I was just letting you know about my mistake. Razorflame 21:28, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- S'alright, I quickly read over it (as I do with all pages I delete) and most of it was nonsense and didn't comply with the wiki article rules in any way. --Gwib -(talk)- 21:29, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Alright. I was just letting you know anyways. By the way, are you any good with IRC? Razorflame 21:30, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Nope. Ask Huji, he's a genius when it comes to that. --Gwib -(talk)- 21:31, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'm asking you because there is a recent changes channel on the IRC, and if you want, I could run you through the process of connecting to it (it isn't that hard). Want me to? Razorflame 21:32, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the offer, but no thanks. I have a Macintosh so there'll be different rules to conform to and different layouts etc. Not worth it when I'm so used to "going old-school" and just patrolling the recent changed page. --Gwib -(talk)- 21:34, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Alright, my asking this question also uncovered that the program I'm using isn't free after 30 days, so thanks for that :) By the way, like my new siggy? :) Razorflame 21:36, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah! Those shaded siggy's are getting very popular. Phaedriel had one, Tygrrr has one and now you! I'd make one myself but my username doesn't have enough letters to significantly trick your eye into believing that it's dégradé. --Gwib -(talk)- 21:38, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Don't forget Lights! He was the one who made the siggy for me, though I had him make me 2 other siggies first. I gave him a special barnstar for his troubles as I really did take up about 15 minutes of his time. Razorflame 00:42, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
Aww, how precious ;). --Gwib -(talk)- 00:43, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
"Gwib from the Swiss Confederation" has enough letters to be dégradé --Bärliner 00:58, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Or maybe SwissGwib? Razorflame 01:17, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Should be TheSwissGwib, makes him sound more important. Oysterguitarist 01:23, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- TSG for short :) Razorflame 01:25, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hahaha! Those are actually quite good ideas.. We'll see what happens. --Gwib -(talk)- 13:29, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
No need to
There's no need to undo that IP addresses edits. It was our mutual friend evading his block again. Razorflame 23:02, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
I'm not evading my block... its letting me edit... so i must be unblocked :) 89.241.182.161 (talk) 23:03, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
can you help me with something... on the Electric Gardens page i created... i can't get the collumn template to work Oo 89.241.182.161 (talk) 23:05, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- I've blocked you, you can't just use your IP address to edit when your account is blocked, otherwise there would be no point in blocking people. --Gwib -(talk)- 23:08, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
but if im unblocked on my IP address... surely that means im unblocked? and if i am blocked, can you unblock me? since its obvious i'm not continuing the disruption... im just quietly making a new page (which, if you do keep me blocked, you have to delete right now, as all edits by a blocked/banned user must be reverted)... so please unblock me if I am. I am sorry for being an idiot earlier. Making me wait another whole 2 days isnt going to drum the same message into me anymore... 78.145.5.73 (talk) 23:11, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- You are currently evading your block time. If you edit with another IP address then I will be forced to indefinitely block all your accounts until further action has been taken. --Gwib -(talk)- 23:13, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
Shoplifting
If you are the one who edited my edit of the short explanation of shoplifting, I want you to reconsider. The purpose of Wikipedia is to inform the people and to try to find new avenues of truth and newer truths that can be discovered in a people's encyclopedia.
Please look at the longer article on Wikipedia and read the History of Shoplifting and Civil Recovery. Civil Recovery is a practice that has been introduced in the Global Economy that depends upon prosecuting shoplifting and arresting for shoplifting as a completed larceny under law.
It is a subsidy for the corporate retailers but it works against the basic due process rights of millions of ordinary people in the world who do "shoplift" because they think they can get away with it and because they think nobody is looking. And some human beings shoplift out of need from grocery stores and even grocery stores are cashing in on "civil recovery", etc.
Try to understand that up until the mid 1970's shoplifting was considered a private wrong against a private person because retailers had the duty and the obligation under the law to protect their merchandise offered for sale and for profit and to get it paid for the best way that they could. This is an act that is committed on private property against merchandise that is sold for private profit --this is not a government installation that should be patrolled by secret government retail police.
The only rationalization for the cities to be doing this is to deter second attempts to steal ----but shouldn't they first try to deter first attempts to steal by posting prominent notice of the CRIMINAL AND THE CIVIL CONSEQUENCES OF SHOPLIFTING.

- That all may be true, but this is Simple Wikipedia. Read over the message I left you on your talk page and you'll understand why your changes were reverted. --Gwib -(talk)- 00:18, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
Why did you remove my comment that I left at the end of Simple talk? I said that this is definitely something that needs to be addressed. Razorflame 01:15, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, must have lost it when I copied and pasted. Chuck it back in there anytime, it isn't hard. I got the comment you removed from the Admins' noticeboard even though it was far back in the history. --Gwib -(talk)- 10:40, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
vandal
Well, a porn vandal is a vandal that inserts porn. In that specific case, the user was creating {welcome} templates, but the links, instead of going to the tutorials, they went to nude images. It was hard to notice but he did it on several wikipedias. I have more info if you need, but please let me know on my meta page. Drini (talk) 01:41, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
Picture
Hi. Why did you delete my picture? i wanted to add to this page, but maybe i did it incorret... maybe could you help me how to add it?
- I left a message on your talk page about it, please refer there for information as to why I deleted your picture. --Gwib -(talk)- 15:25, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
Latin
I know that presbyterian Christiansdo not use Latin.
As a said before, both my parents are practicing Catholics and there is quite alot of influence from them, as well as the fact that I use Rosary, which is not used by the Presbyterian Church. I am not not striclty, Presbyterian, but when people ask me what religion I follow, (Which has been asked many times in the past) I generally say Presbyterian because it is where most of my influences come.
Also, I don't go to a Presbyterian church because there are none locally to me, so I go to the Catholic Church with my parents every day.
And finally, We were singing the song 'pie jesu', translating as 'O sweet Lord Jesus' in my sghool choir, and I just felt like reciting it.
I do not comply to strictly one Christian denomination, But most people people do not pry as much into my religious beliefs as much as you. :-)
IuseRosary 18:05, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- actually I was worried when IuseRosary first published the prayer. Ben identifies as gay on his page and then a prayer appears. It did seem like vandal had arrived. --Bärliner 18:09, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
Have you got a problem with that?
And, How is my school presbyterian unfriendly, just because my school choir sings one latin song, I think that it is the only latin song we have evr done.
I am part of the The Frozen Chosen. Because that is what us presbyterian christians are called, And I know that because I am a presbyterian!
Most of what I believe in complys with what the presbyterian church believe in, with some Catholic Influences that are insignificant compared to my presbyterian beliefs.
Are you presbyterian? Is it in your nature to be pry so much? :-)
IuseRosary 18:22, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I use use the term all the time to describe myslef and and my presbyterian friends who i met over a social networking site. I do not find it derogitary at all. But if you seem to think that it is a derogitary term, towards my religion, why did you use it towards myself on my talk page?
- IuseRosary 18:39, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Apparently, you don't know what it means and you removed the information where you said that you didn't know what it meant. --Gwib -(talk)- 18:40, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Fine! I didn't know what it meant, But that's because Nobody ever says it where I am. I don't even go to a presbyterian church, and I don't talk to people who know anything about religion! I'm sorry, my religious beliefs are complex and have nothing to do with my editing or wikipedia or our professional relationship that we have on here so I suggest you stop harassing me! IuseRosary 18:52, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
That's all good and proper (I love English expressions), but it doesn't explain:
- Why you said you did know what it meant
- Why you kept removing information and warnings from your talk page
- Why you obviously wanted everyone to believe that you did know what it meant by removing the info from your talk page
--Gwib -(talk)- 18:54, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
1) I was imbaressed that I didn't know a term which I should have done, I could tell that you already didn't berlieve me about my religion, so I wanted to remove any evidence which would make you think I was lying
2)Because I was in an edit conflict / imbaressed
3)Once again, imbaressed.
Are you happy now?
IuseRosary 18:57, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
I have replied on Barliner's talk page. --Gwib -(talk)- 18:58, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- You missed this one:
- 4. "my presbyterian friends who i met over a social networking site" vs "I don't talk to people who know anything about religion!" -- Creol(talk) 19:00, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- I love you Creol.. (sighing contentedly after the death blow has been struck). --Gwib -(talk)- 19:04, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, the people who I physicall talk to at school, don't know alot about religion, and the people who I have met online, I don't actually talk to, more of type to, If you get where I am coming from. and I don't actually talk to the people who I met on myspace very much. So lets continue to play the 'lets try an catch IuseRosary ot' game, because it's fun! IuseRosary 19:03, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- I think that we've had quite enough of disproving you for one day. --Gwib -(talk)- 19:06, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Why do you love User:Creol, Gwib? Why? Because she unsucessfully caught me out? Is that Why? Do you like to see fellow users being put into awkward positions where the thing which they hold closest to their heart is being questioned by Someone who doesn't even know their situation! Is that why Gwib? I feel very insulted and my religion disrespected by you and that other cerol person. Maybe you should learn more about situations before harassing users, like you did to me! Would you like to answer why you love Creol now?
IuseRosary 19:10, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
Liam
Just a coincidence: You mention Liam on the first day he edits in 7 weeks.
By the way: his user page isn't one of your designs I hope :) --Bärliner 19:32, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
Block?
I am happy to give a 24 hour block after this User_talk:IuseRosary#Warning --Bärliner 19:46, 6 January 2008
- I see you already have done, thanks :) although I can't help feeling that, in a way, it was me who "woke a sleeping giant". --Gwib -(talk)- 19:55, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Given the history of the IPs attached to the user, it was only a matter of time. No provocation was realy needed, he would have likely self-destructed on his own. -- Creol(talk) 19:58, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- I thought you might let one remark slip by, but after three I went ahead anyway. I think WP:AN warned of the possible disruptive friends of Iamandrewrice, so I can't see anyblame attached to you. Actually If I had been faster he would have been blocked seconds after that prayer was posted, but Iamandrewrice acknowledged him as a friend so I stopped. --Bärliner 20:03, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- No reason to blame yourself , it would have happened anyways. Oysterguitarist 20:06, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for your support, all of you. I really appreciate it and hope that I don't get pin pointed for vandalism when IamAR and IuseRosary's blocks wear off. --Gwib -(talk)- 20:16, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
Iamandrewrice
(Copied from your page on EN:WP)That was a problem here, too. I am emailing back and forth with him now, and he will not let it go or see the issues from anybody's point of view except his own. Though I do not share other people's emails, I will share the last mail of mine to him: My honest opinion? I am not interested in this whatsoever, and won't be discussing it, either here or there. Make edits to articles, stop the drama, and focus, and I will help you every step of the way. Keep dwelling on nonsense that makes no difference and you're on your own. This was in response to his statement that he wants to file complaints against you and others for double standards, etc., and his decision not to take any advice I can give.
On a related note, it is possible that not every IP edit has been made by him alone. If you haven't read it yet, this thread may help you out. I suspect IluvRosary (sp?) is his friend Joe, and some of those IP edits could be from him, or another friend of his. Though it is completely up to you, my suggestion is this: After his block expires, see what he does (monitoring him closely). If he screws up again, ban him and range block.
By the way, after I wrap up a few things here, I am planning on starting to edit more on the Simple Wikipedia. I have been poking around, and like what I see. I particularly like the fact that it is small and seems to need editors. I think I could have a positive impact in terms of creating new content. just letting you know. Jeffpw (talk) 22:08, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
Iuserosary
I thinkthat user is spamming talk pages with a bot. I got a message for a project I'm completely unrelated. Drini (talk) 18:56, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- It's because you're unrelated to the music project that you got that message. It's just offering you a place within the project and since this is such a small community, all you need is a copy and paste key to get a particular message to all active users on this site within an hour.
- If you check on people's talk pages, you might find a little thank you message that I myself copied and pasted (it's a little green table) and all I used were the c and v keys. --Gwib -(talk)- 19:37, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
