Takiribime (Lady Mist) is a Kunitsukami . She is one of the three daughters of Susanoo.[1] The Shinsen Shōjiroku describes her as a Kunitsukami and many clans as descended from her.[2]
She was moved from Tashima Shrine to Munakata Taisha, so that shrine is called Moto-Munakata.[3][4][page needed]
Takiribime is described as marrying Ōkuninushi which links the Munakata clan in with the Izumo clan in myth and the establishment of Munakata Taisha and Izumo-taisha.[1]
All her children are worshipped at Shitori Shrine alongside those of her sisters, she and her sisters are not. This means a connection might exist but is uncertain.
