Steve Wolfe[1] (born December 31, 1978), known professionally as Johnny Sins, is an American pornographic actor, director, and internet personality.[5] Wolfe has received nominations for numerous adult industry awards, including the AVN Award for Male Performer of the Year twice.[6][7] He is consistently among the most popular porn searches.[8][9][10][11]

Career

After graduating college, Wolfe got a job working in construction six days a week.[12] In 2006, he quit and moved to Los Angeles, California, to enter the adult film industry.[12] His first gigs were through Craigslist ads.[12] Wolfe has been described as a "go-to guy" for the production studio Brazzers,[6] performing in 1,031 scenes for the company as of September 19, 2018.[2]

On June 10, 2015, Pornhub launched a crowdfunding campaign through Indiegogo to produce the first adult film in space.[13][14][15] Wolfe and fellow actress Eva Lovia were slated to perform in the film.[16][17] If the project were successfully funded, the two would have received six months of rigorous preparation for the launch, including zero gravity, velocity, and temperature training.[13][18] When asked about the opportunity, Wolfe said, "It's beyond just doing it for the money, or the money shot for that matter. It's about making history."[19] The campaign raised $236,086 over 60 days, failing to reach its goal of $3.4 million.[20]

In early 2017, Wolfe and actress Kissa Sins launched their YouTube channel SinsTV, which chronicles their day-to-day lives and features sex advice.[4][21] To date, the channel has accumulated over seven hundred thousand subscribers. A video of Wolfe trying out various Turkish snacks briefly became the top Youtube video in Turkey.[5][9][22]

In July 2018, an image of Wolfe, along with several other notable adult stars, was painted on the side of a bus that traveled around Kerala, India.[23][24] The mural was part of a marketing campaign aimed to boost college tour rides.[23]

Wolfe received the award for Most Popular Male Performer by Women at the innagural Pornhub Awards;[25][26] winners were determined by users' streaming data.[25]

Personal life

Wolfe was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.[3] He has described himself as "very shy" while growing up.[12] Wolfe is married to fellow actress Kissa Sins.[1] He currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In October 2017, a picture of Wolfe was tweeted by a user claiming he was missing in relation to the Las Vegas shooting at the Mandalay Bay.[27][28][29] The tweet was one of many viral hoaxes that emerged about the shooting.[27][28]
