Welcome to Simple English Wikipedia

Hi Chandlerjoeyross, welcome to Simple English Wikipedia! Thank you for your changes. If you need help, check out the Help section of Wikipedia, or leave a message on my talk page. Whenever leaving messages on talk pages, please remember to sign your name by typing four 'tildes' (like this: ~~~~); doing this makes your name and the date show up. Also, it helps if you write something in the box that says 'edit summary' whenever you change an article. Below are some useful links to make your time here simpler. Happy editing! Short articles

change

Hello, my name is Razorflame, and I am a serious editor here on Simple English Wikipedia. I have noticed that you have created many pages here on Simple English Wikipedia, and that most of them are short (less than 1,000 bytes). When you create short articles like that, it would be best if you would add this template to the end of it (but before categories): {{stub}}. This would allow other editors to know that it is a short article that needs expansion. Please remember to put this at the end of your short articles in the future. Thanks, Razorflame (contributions) Talk 17:10, 21 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Categories

change

Please include categories in your articles that you've created, as well as articles that you are going to create in the future. This will allow users to find them easier on this site. If you are unsure about which category they belong in, please include the {{uncat}} template so that you will allow other users to include the appropriate categories into them. Thanks, Razorflame (contributions) Talk 17:11, 21 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Eastenders

change

The last change you made to the EastEnders article was a direct copy and paste from the English Wikipedia. It is advised not to do this because the pages on the English Wikipedia usually don't use the simplest of english. Razorflame (contributions) Talk 19:53, 27 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I know that you like the EastEnders, so I will help you by giving you some pointers:
  1. It is better to write a new article that is based off of the en:WP article than to copy the en:WP article and simplify it. That means that it is better to start the article from scratch, then paraphrase what is written on the English Wikipedia using simpler english.
  2. Not everything written on the English Wikipedia is relevant for this site. This means that not all of the EastEnders article from the English Wikipedia is relevant or needed on this site. Much of the information on the English Wikipedia article is irrelevant or unneeded or simply just not simple enough for this site.

If you have any more questions about this topic, please feel free to ask me on my talk page. I look forward to seeing many good edits from you in the future! Razorflame (contributions) Talk 20:00, 27 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia by creating the page Andrew Bowen on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page is now gone. Please use the sandbox if you want to do any more tests, and see the welcome page if you want to learn about helping Simple English Wikipedia. Razorflame 01:07, 3 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
