Re:Kennedy help change

Hi. I saw your message on Kennedy's talk page asking if you could bring some userboxes over from EN. I'd say why not! The userbox page is here. Regards. Yotcmdr =talk to the commander= 12:04, 3 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

P.S: If you need any help what so ever, just leave a message on my talk page.

Userboxes unfortunately can't be put onto the Template: space, you can however put them into your own userspace, so add one to User:Daisy/Userbox, or whatever. For example, if you typed {{User:Kennedy/Scottish}} it would display:

User:Kennedy/Scottish

If you need any more help, let me know! Kennedy (talk) 13:21, 3 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Userbox change

I've moved it into your name space and deleted the redirect. Synergy 20:05, 3 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Help me change

{{Helpme}}Please could some one help me set up an adoption page similar to the en.wikipedia page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Adoption) but for simple.wikipedia. I need help in creating the article and publishing it out onto unexperienced simple.wiki Users

Hello Daisy,
I would be interested in helping you create such an area, but I don't think it is necessary at the moment. We have nowhere near the amount of users, changes or content that en.wikipedia has, and within about a week of being here you will know everyone. Because of this, if people need help or "adoption" it is dealt with quickly just by looking on the user's talk page.
On a different note, please do not just create userboxes as exact copies from en.wikipedia, with the same names etc. They will most likely be deleted, and many are not needed. Thanks, BG7even 12:21, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

My RFA change

Hi. What majorly means is that as you created your account after the Request for adminship started, you are not entitled to vote. I'm still very happy you trust me, and even if it doens't count on the RFA, it counts for me. Thanks. Yotcmdr (talk) 19:04, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Oh right ok then. No Probs. Daisy (talk) 19:09, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
You will be allowed to vote on any other Request for adminship from now on. Yotcmdr (talk) 19:11, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Ok Thanks for the help. Good luck in your RFA by the way. Hope you succede. Daisy (talk) 19:12, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, It's closing in two days, so it's looking good! Please, if you do need help for anything (and I mean anything) please feel free to ask. I'm here every evening from 5PM to 10PM (GMT) and from around 9AM until 9PM on weekends. Yotcmdr (talk) 19:15, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Since i can't fix my talk part of my signature i will keep my signature like this. Daisy 09:26, 6 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Test Signature change

Can Anyone help me create a signature that has my name ""Daisy"" pink and the talk as purple

If you have the talk page purple it would be dark purple for those who clicked the link to your talk page. I'm looking into it right now. Synergy 22:08, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
You would use something like <font color="color you want">[[userpage link]]</font> and then <font color="purple">[[Talk page link]]</font>. Then add it to your signature box in preferences and click the raw signature button. Synergy 22:11, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
How about something like this: Daisy talk ? Yotcmdr=talk to the commander= 22:13, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
I have managed to get this far Daisy Talk 09:14, 6 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
But the talk link is broken. Why is this?
Daisy Talk 09:15, 6 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Because we're already on your talk page (that's why it doesn't work). Yotcmdr (talk) 09:25, 6 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
It does work, just leave a quick message on my talk page and you'll see it works. Yotcmdr (talk) 09:28, 6 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Maybe like this: Daisy talk</>. (remove or add bold text if you want). Yotcmdr (talk) 09:33, 6 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Ok Thanks all for your help i think i'll keep it like this. just incase i mess it up more. Daisy talk 09:37, 6 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Ok, no problem. Yotcmdr =talk to the commander= 09:39, 6 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

RfA vote change

We generally do not accept votes from new users as a precaution (more found here). The message left by the editor underneath your vote, was given so the Crat will know when closing. Synergy 00:58, 6 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ignore me. I just now saw the header where it was addressed. Synergy 01:00, 6 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Ok thanks for the help. Daisy (talk) 07:32, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thank You change

  The Yotcmdr Barnstar
Thank you for supporting me in my RFA which passed with 15 supports and no opposes, even if your vote didn't count. The barnstar may not mean much to you, but your support did to me, thanks. Yotcmdr =talk to the commander= 09:13, 7 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Rollback change

Hi, I'll grant you rollback once I've seen a few vandalism reverts from you here (or are you a rollbacker on en wikipedia or another one?). Thanks. Yotcmdr =talk to the commander= 10:29, 7 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

A tip to be the fastest at reverting: Stay on the new changes page and keep refreshing it. You'll find vandalism much faster. And in your setting (top of page) go into the gadgets tab, and tick the New changes box. Yotcmdr =talk to the commander= 10:34, 7 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Various change

Hello Daisy!

Thanks for all the great work you are doing! When reverting vandalism, please also leave a warning on the user's talk page, this tells them why it has been removed and often makes them stop without resorting to blocks.

Also, if a user needs to be blocked, please add it to Vandalism in Progress where an admin will look over it. This is normally only done after a final warning.

Finally, we do not normally give semi-protection as articles are normally left alone after a short period.

Thanks, and if you have any more questions, just contact me! (Click the "Goblin" in my signature.)

Ok i forget to add Warning templates i need to add the templates page to my favourates. Daisy (talk) 15:54, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
No worries Daisy! You can add the "Vandal Warner" gadget which you can add from the "My settings" menu if you want a group - see my monobook.js for an example of how to customise this! Thanks, BG7even 15:59, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh right and i just add this to my monobook.js do i? Daisy (talk) 16:01, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
The example that I have is a bit of an extreme customisation, and doesn't fully work correctly ;). If you enable it under the "Gadgets" tab in Special:Preferences first then you will have some default ones, and can change those for your own if you wish. Thanks, BG7even 16:04, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Can you also tell me how i would go about getting my Monobook fully protected from editing. Like it says on the Protection Policy. Thanks Daisy (talk) 16:25, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Your monobook is automatically fully protected from ALL users (even Admins and 'Crats) except you.--  CM16  18:37, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Hi, the MediaWiki software automatically protects anything with .js or .css on the end so that only you or an administrator can edit it! Also, you will need to "purge" your browsers cache before the stuff there will work - Ctrl-R in Windows, Ctrl-Shift-R in Firefox, Apple Key-R in Safari. Thanks, BG7even 18:40, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
ChristianMan16: Actually, that's wrong, Admins and 'Crats can edit it, as per my post. BG7even 18:40, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
That's not what the page says, it says only you can edit it.--  CM16  18:41, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
My mistake, well it did at one time. I remember it. But it doesn't now...sorry.--  CM16  18:43, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yes i think only you can edit your own monobook :D. Thanks all Daisy (talk) 19:02, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
You and admins ;) It prevents people putting malicious code there, but allows admins to fix it up and also, if you added a wikibreak enforcer for example, it allows them to remove it. (I know, my .js has been edited here by Chenzw and at en. by many 'sops ;) BG7even 19:07, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
That's cool then at least you know it's safe to know that it is protected. Daisy (talk) 19:08, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Editor Review change

Is it ok for me to start a page under my name like User:Daisy/Editor-Review. I want this page to be used for all you to comment about my attitude and improvements. So that i know im doing stuff right. Hopefully i will do really well and apply for a RFA. Thanks Daisy (talk) 19:19, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yes, of course you can make that page. Yotcmdr Sign up for the wikicup =talk= 19:23, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

My Own Account change

Hi Daisy. I am operating under the name Anonymous Name (formerly of Univ of Wis-LaCrosse Students, since that was blocked indefinitely right here on Simple English Wikipedia)-however the reason because of which I represent Anonymous Name is due to harassment problems on regular Wikipedia (at which specific articles are highly prevalent, plus the hurricane articles are highly abundant). My userpage explains these harassments on the regular English Wikipedia. Please help me before I return back to there and however to handle harassment without having my own talkpages protected by Admins not believing me.

What is it your requesting me to help you on. The Unblock help or to support your defence? Daisy (talk) 16:28, 11 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
