Welcome to Simple English Wikipedia change

Hi, Javierito92, welcome to Simple English Wikipedia! Thank you for your changes. If you need help, check out the Help section of Wikipedia, or leave a message on my talk page. Whenever leaving messages on talk pages, please remember to sign your name by typing four 'tildes' (like this: ~~~~); doing this makes your name and the date show up. Also, it helps if you write something in the box that says 'edit summary' whenever you change an article. Below are some useful links to make your time here simpler. Happy editing! Use of Rollback change

Hi Javierito92,

I'm glad you've come to Simple Wikipedia and are helping us combat vandalism :) I just wanted to point out a couple things that you may want to remember in your use of rollback here. First, we would greatly appreciate if you warn the users who you rollback so that they understand why they are being rolled back. This helps in two ways: The good faith editors may not understand what they are doing wrong, if you warn them why you reverted their changes they will either understand the concern OR they will know why so they can defend what they put in if they believe it correct. The other thing the warnings help with is to quickly show other patrollers and admins how often an IP or User has been a problem so they can give higher warnings or block them if appropriate. You can see a list of warnings to use or you can use Twinkle (similar to En's twinkle) which gives you a little tab on the top of talk pages to give warnings. You can turn Twinkle on by going to your settings area, clicking on gadgets, clicking Twinkle and saving.

I would also like to remind you that WP:Rollback should only be used for obvious vandalism. In general if it appears that they could have made a change for what they believed was a helpful reason you want to either post on the talk page to talk about the change or undo the change with a change summary explaining why you are doing that. This [particular rollback] was not obvious vandalism (while the change the ip made later was). The article did indeed talk about cancers of the liver and while a Cancer is a Disease and so the change was not "needed" it is understandable that someone may consider it a helpful addition to the article. We want to be careful and not bite new editors who have not worked on the wiki before.

I hope to keep seeing you around ;) let me know if you have any questions and again, Welcome~ Jamesofur (talk) 21:26, 1 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your response: When you use Huggle you can put in a change summary by pressing the little arrow next to the rollback button and selecting advanced then you can type the note in the top box.Jamesofur (talk) 21:44, 1 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

welcomes change

Thanks for helping on wiki and welcoming users. However, when you are welcoming, use {{subst:welcome}} instead of {{welcome}} because it will not work correctly if you use second one. --Griffinofwales (talk) 19:29, 2 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

QD reasons change

Hi there Javierito!

Just thought i'd let you know that here at Simple we use the format "{{QD|reason}}" when tagging pages for Quick Deletion, and that the {{db-*}} templates do not work here with reasons. Also, it is referred to as "Quick Deletion" rather than "Criteria for Speedy Deletion" (CSD) as it is simpler for our users.

Please keep up the good work though!

December 2009 change

We like and strongly encourage helpful changes to Wikipedia, but an article you created was directly copied and pasted from the main English Wikipedia. Please do not do that, as such articles are usually too complex and may have templates that do not exist here. Thank you. ···Katerenka (討論) 09:41, 29 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
