SNAFU
Major SNAFU. I changed your answer to Ben's enquiry about "fair use" --Bärliner 16:17, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
SNAFU? Meaning? Razorflame 16:57, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Fair use is the opposite of what you said --Bärliner 17:00, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Oh. My mistake. That was just my impression of it. :) Now I know what fair use is :) Razorflame 17:01, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Thank You
Thank-You Kindly for your Welcome message, I have now made an account and i hope to begin editing soon. I don't know much about editing, but I hope to learn as my edits become more frequest

- Yes, I love the red link! I've made my signature link to my talk page so hopefully no one will be confused. Think outside the box 17:24, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, just letting you know that I don't personally like users without userpages. (nothing against you). Razorflame 17:25, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

an adoption programme. On SEWP? --Bärliner 17:39, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Correct. Just to put in place in case we ever get more users. I think it is a very valid project to add to this site. I've already adopted 2 users here. Razorflame 17:41, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- sorry... i just thought i was helping. I didnt mean to hurt your feelings. Ben.(Talk).(Changes) 17:41, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

- Hello. I was just wondering how I would be able to get a cool Sign off thing when I go like (IuseRosary (talk) 18:01, 3 January 2008 (UTC)) like you, with colours and stuff. Thanks IuseRosary (talk) 18:01, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- I would be happy to make you one. I'll make it in User:IuseRosary/sig. Cheers! Razorflame 19:43, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- razorflame... are you my adopter? i dont understand... Ben.(Talk).(Changes) 19:53, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I am, but please understand that I cannot be here all the time. I have a life outside of this site. I am actually in school right now, so I can only edit during classes that I have nothing scheduled. Razorflame 19:57, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Thank-You ever so Kindly, You are a Good Soul! I Thank-You very much for going out of your way to kelp me. IuseRosary 19:59, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Do you like the colors? If you have other colors that you would like me to change it to, please don't hesitate to ask me! Razorflame 20:00, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- The Colours are great, They go perfectly together - You've picked out just the right hue of each colour, Thank -you. I could Not have done better myself! IuseRosary 20:03, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Ok then! Let me know if you would like me to change the colors for you whenever you want a change of pace. Razorflame 20:19, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Adoption schene
Ben thinks "we are winning on the adoption scheme"
That may be because your comment about stopping and my opposition have been deleted. What are you doing about the scheme? --Bärliner 18:11, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- My intentions about it are to go through with it if I achieve the approval of the public concensus. Razorflame 19:58, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Question
razor (whats do you want me to call you from now on btw?), why is everyone being mean that I transformed that page into loads of different colours? There was red, yellow, green, blue, purple, different sizes, an image, tidiness, and prettyful things... but now they deleted it, and said it looked tacky, but i dont understand :'( - - Ben.(Talk).(Changes) 20:01, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
You can call me Razor if you prefer, otherwise, you can call me Mike (my first name). The reason behind Creol's removal of your colors is because the Wikipedia:Simple Talk page is supposed to look official. When it is all different colors, do you really think it will look official? Also, please wait at least a couple of minutes in between edits to allow me to reply without getting an edit conflict :) Razorflame 20:04, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Ok Mike, for deffo (Y)
but... i thought they looked nice :'( i dont understand why you'd all choose to have it looking ugly when it could all be pretty... and i did it for you, because I wanted to make your thread look nice... and I added a picture as well... Ben.(Talk).(Changes) 20:06, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not saying that the colors aren't nice, I'm saying that the colors aren't needed in a Wikipedia subpage. From now on, please do not add colors to any pages other than your own user pages or user subpages. If you would like, I could create a sandbox for you to test things in and you can do whatever you want in there without it affecting the other users. Razorflame 20:08, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- many things arent 'needed', but we put them in just because they would increase the visual benefit. I did it for you, because I hoped that you'd appreciate my efforts on your thread... but appaz not... Ben.(Talk).(Changes) 20:15, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Firstly, I do appreciate some of the edits you've made. Others aren't quite up to pace. Your recent edits (mostly to the Wikipedia:Simple talk page) were not very good, and there are quite a few editors here telling you to stop. Second, some of your edits have been good! Like this one, and your articles on Technosexuality, Pansexuality, and Autosexuality. Razorflame 20:19, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- But it was those edits to the simple talk page that were for you! Ben.(Talk).(Changes) 20:23, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- They did look nice, and I appreciate you trying to help, but you are trying to help in the wrong ways. There are other ways that you can help me out. You can start by reviewing all of the edits that IP addresses send in, and if they are deemed to be Vandalism, then you can undo it. I suggest you read the link in the previous sentence throuroughly before trying this. Razorflame 20:28, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Erm... Simple Talk
Hey, Two Things:
- 1. Is there anything more that I can do to help back your adoption idea. E.g. Comment elsewhere or anything. I think it seems like a great svheme, and I sure need the help, so I'm definately in favour of the adoption scheme.
- 2. On The Simple Talk page, at the bottom. I've written a thread called 'Music?' can you take a look at it and comment. Thanks
IuseRosary 20:12, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- The answers:
- 1:Thanks for the offer for help, but as of right now, it's in the hands of the other users on this site, meaning there is nothing to help with. And another thing (and please don't take this the wrong way), but you aren't very experienced here, so I think that you should just sit back and watch the drama unfold.
- 2:I will comment on this as soon as I have the time. I am currently getting quite a few private messages, so I will respond to it in about 30 minutes (if all goes well).

unadoption
thank you for helping... however, i refuse to continue our adoption service if you are going to treat me in this way. I am not desperate for your help or 'approval,' and have enough support on here without you in order to continue. You made this choice for yourself with those last comments you left on my page. I no longer wish to continue working with you as my mentor Ben(Talk).(Changes) 21:09, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Then sorry, but I have no choice but to add you to the blocking list. Razorflame 21:11, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
because i dont want to be adopted by you? whatever... Ben(Talk).(Changes) 21:15, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Because your last edit was not constructive. I am doing it as per my ultimatum. Razorflame 21:16, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- I couldnt see your ultimatum because it didn't come up properly! Ben(Talk).(Changes) 21:19, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Then here this:
THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE!!! The next edit you make had better be to an article, or you will get a block vote from me, indefinitely with no chance to change my mind. Razorflame 21:20, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Ultimatum/blocking
Razorflame, I am going to say this as politely and with all due respect as I can, so I hope that you will not be offended. I think that because you are so close to the Ben situation and because you were his mentor, that you should step back and allow someone else to handle the situation. I appreciate what you are trying to do by insisting that he stick to editing of articles rather than talk pages, but I feel that this message would be more effective from another user. Also, he did not do anything particularly worthy of a block with the few edits he made after your "ultimatum". The other admins and I will handle this situation as we see fit, which may well involve a block or ban. I would suggest that you do not issue any more warnings or ultimatums to Ben because of your earlier involvement with him. It would be better if they came from an objective admin. · Tygrrr... 21:29, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- All right. I will take a step back for now. You do not offend me and I am completely understanding your point of view. I will allow everyone else to solve this issue, but I will be keeping tabs on the discussion, just not join it. Razorflame 21:41, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you for understanding and cooperating. · Tygrrr... 21:46, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- My last involvement on this issue was QD'ing an unnecessary redirect. Razorflame 21:47, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Re:Welcome
Thanks for the advices. I work also on it.wiki, so I know more or less how things are. However I'm going right now to read the help pages! (please forgive me if I've made grammar mistakes) --Katiusha (tell me) 21:30, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Not a problem at all. It is always good to review all of the help pages before editing in a new wiki :) Razorflame 21:40, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- You're right. Now it's time for me to go to bed (in Italy it's more or less 11pm), but I think tomorrow I could put aside my homework and edit something... --Katiusha (tell me) 21:54, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Please let me know if there is anything you need help on. I will be more than happy to help if I can. Razorflame 21:56, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
How Do I?
Hey can you help me?
I have created a WikiProject Music Page: User:IuseRosary/WikiProject, and I would like to turn this user box code:
Music? | I am a member of SimpleWikiProject Music because I think that Music is Sexy! |
Into a template for members to put on their user pages, can you help me with it please? Cheers IuseRosary 21:50, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- I've created the usersubpage User:Razorflame/WPM to make it a template. To add it to pages, type this {{User:Razorflame/WPM}}. Cheers! Razorflame 21:52, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Hey
I made a correction to your userpage. Happy editing! Lights (talk) § 00:32, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Not a problem! Thanks for the fix and Happy New Year! Razorflame 00:34, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Btw, here's a new siggy for you. Point to the Razor and me. If you don't like it, that's fine.
Lights (talk) § 01:09, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Nope, it's much appreciated :) I was beginning to tire of my old siggy :) Razorflame 01:11, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- I took out the question marks. A little annoying. Thanks for trying though!
Hi. What about the article needs wikification? Thanks. -- Avi (talk) 16:25, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- It means you need to add more wikilinks. There are still some important terms that you need to wikilink to other articles here on the Simple English Wikipedia. Razorflame 16:58, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Not just links. Not forget the formatting, and the language. Is it Simple English? Also stub, categories and interwikis if needed --Bärliner 17:01, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- I know, but wikify is the only template the article is tagged with, so that's the only aspect that needs to be covered. Razorflame 17:02, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

- The template says "This article or section needs to be wikified. Please format this article according to the guidelines laid out at Wikipedia:Guide to layout." See Wikipedia:Glossary#W
- If all you are going to do is add a few links then you are makinbg more for other editors who need to come along and check your work and finish it. --Bärliner 17:10, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry about that Barliner. I didn't know that that page existed. I will add a note to Avi with that page. Razorflame 17:12, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
My apologies. I know that Simple Wiki's requirements are vastly different than enwiki's and so I'm not used to the structure here. (and I have around 20K edits of enwiki habits I have to break . -- Avi (talk) 17:18, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- No need to apologize! I only just learned about this myself from Barliner :) Razorflame 17:19, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
Our Mutual Friend
Says he does not have your email address. He block expires at 10:31 tonight his time (5 and a quarter hours from now) and he probably won't be online until tomorrow. I have said that if he has any problems he should contact me. He has my email, which is one ai set up especially for wiki admin work anyway.--Bärliner 17:16, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- He will not be allowed to contact me through my email. If he needs to contact anyone, make sure that he has the emails of the admins. I have removed myself from this issues and as such, I need to make it so that my email cannot be reached by him. Razorflame 17:18, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Using the E-mail this user function in the sidebar does not give him your email address unless you respond. I do not think his function can be disabled just to stop him contacting you, has he done so yet? --Bärliner 17:26, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Haven't checked my email since last night. Anyways, Tygrrr blocked his email per my request because I had fears that he might try to do something with it. Razorflame 17:28, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Blocking the e-mail as part of his block will only stop him from sending messages directly from here until his block ends. After the block or if you ever replied to any previous emails from him, he can email you all he wants.

Swiss Towns
With all the pages for places in Switzerland you have made it will take ages to get them as long as Altentreptow :P --Bärliner 20:19, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- There isn't enough information available to make them as long as your page. Razorflame 20:20, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Some of them are already as long or longer, such as Lenzburg and Aarau. Razorflame 20:20, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hey, Altentreptow on ENWP is tiny. I had to find German info to translate. Why don't you. It will stop you getting bored --Bärliner 20:27, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not bored. I just realized that some of the links of the infoboxes for the municipalities pages that I've created are broken, so I have to go through them all and fix them. Razorflame 20:29, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- The infobox has "List of twin towns and sister cities in Switzerland". I think it is better if this is simply "Twin Town" the article, so people can learn about what a twin toiwn is. I will edit the infobox if you agree
- No, it's in the individual articles. Some of the links to neighboring cities are red linked when the articles have been created, so I'm having to go through them and fix them. Razorflame 20:43, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

I want to ask, what u have to change in the article if there are just few words?i cleaned up the articles,in the parts not easy to understand..but now i don't know why still put the stub,if the page is clean, there r just few words,i don't see nothing to clean again, however srry if i made a bad thing.bye Italy90
- There is still much to be changed. For starters, people need to work on the wording of much of your sentences. Another thing is that you don't include categories in your articles. Razorflame 20:23, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

But you still shouldn't copy pages WORD FOR WORD, which is exactly what has been done. -- Scorpion0422 (talk) 21:00, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- That is our job. We've verified this article many times, and I assure you that it should not be an exact copy. If you are the editor responsible for creating the page on the English Wikipedia, kindly just leave one comment about this on the Administrator's Noticeboard, and it will get resolved shortly. This wikipedia, must be easy to understand, but must have information, not just "put more things",the page is deleted 2 or 3 times, and it wAsn't a copy and past,i worked,on it for make it easier, special in politics,if u read the original in english,u can see that is not a past. However maybe wasn't good, but why deleting it??it's was better i think, just put a stub and waiting a person that work again on it.Bye Italy90
- Because it was an unsimplified direct copypaste of the English Wikipedia page. Razorflame 21:19, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
Are u sure of this???Read the politic part in english wikipedia,is not easy like in the simple, and where u foud the "u cursu" in english wikipedia???I don't want have power on this wikipedia,i just want help it,but i think is not nice when a person delete work of another person and just put "put more things",and the page maybe stay on this version for months. However if people don't like my version of corsica i won't help it again,im here for help,if my help is not ok,i don't have problems,i will help others pages, hopely that my help is accepted :).bye Italy90

How Can I...
How Can I Advertise, well not advertise, but let more people know about my SimpleWikiProject Music Because It only has two members at the moment, and It needs more if the project is going to be successful.
Oh, and I also want to create a specaal Barnstar for the members of the Project if they are dedicated, work hard and make good pages for the project. How can I create my own barnstar? I was to call it 'The Music is Sexy Barnstar' - For Dedication and Hard work for the Project
and 'The I am in Love with Music Barnstar' who help clean up music pages for the Project.
And 'The Trumpet Fanfare Barnstar' for those users who tirelessly work for the project and have made over 1500 edits for the project.
Thanks IuseRosary? 12:28, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
Someone else has helped me with most of the above, so don't worry, but I still need to let people know about the project. How can I do that?
Oh, and By the Way, user:Iamandrewrice has been blocked again, just thought that I would let you know... IuseRosary 19:56, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Simply put a link to the Wikiproject in your userpage, and it will draw in people. Razorflame 20:07, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Well, there are already two links to it, Is there any other way? IuseRosary 20:18, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

I was wondering...instead of create a new page for each usebox, why can't we do as on it.wiki, that meams a page with all codes, instead of lot of pages? Look this: it's a page made only of codes...or is it a bad idea? Katiusha (tell me) 21:40, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- The reason why is because the community is too small to support that idea. We have to create a new page for each userbox because it was decided a while back that this project is too small for userboxes, but if people wanted to include userboxes in their userpages, then they would have to create them each as seperate pages in their userspace. Razorflame 21:42, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- This means that I have to create a new page for each usebox...ok, I'll try to restrain myself and not to do lots of userboxes as on it.wiki... :) (time to go to bed, cheers!) Katiusha (tell me) 21:51, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- For now, but once we get more members, we might create a central page. Until then... Razorflame 21:53, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Removing content in Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser
Please do not remove content from pages, as you did on Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser. Thanks. Bärliner 23:36, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, I won't in the future. Razorflame 23:40, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
Re:Blocked template
Yes, I just don't use it. Oysterguitarist 02:46, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- It would be nice if you would use it. That would help other administrators identify that a user is blocked. Razorflame 02:47, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Often it just creates another page, which is a waste of resources --Bärliner 21:17, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
unsigned
I know you often use {{unsigned}}, but I prefer {{unsigned2}} as I can cut and paste the user name and time from the history, which can make tracing events easier.
- Tell me how to use it, and I'll use it :) Razorflame 21:40, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- the revision history has info such as 21:40, 6 January 2008 Razorflame
- copy and paste this into the template, with a "|" before the username {{subst:unsigned2|21:40, 6 January 2008 |Razorflame}} and you get —This unsigned comment was added by Razorflame (talk • changes) 21:40, 6 January 2008 (UTC). The template switches username and time around so that it is in the usual format for signatures. Not compulsory, but pretty :) --Bärliner 21:47, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Alright. I'll remember to do this in the future :) Razorflame 21:50, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Super mario World 2: Yoshi's island
You said you might be writing an article about the game Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. Are you still going to?--Bärliner 19:24, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- I asked if you wanted me to. Do you? Razorflame 19:40, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
An Apology?
Hello, I would like to apologise if you were involved in my outbirst yesterday. I'm sorry for wasted time and effort. I cannot justify my use of foul language, but neither can I say that it was not provocked. I feel I have let both you and simple wikipedia down. I hope you accept my apology. IuseR 19:56, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- I was not involved in your outburst yesterday, but I thank you for apologizing anyways. Razorflame 19:57, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
Music Project
What do you think I should do about my music project? It only has two emebers even after I've posted on Simple talk and sent personal messages to some active users.
Should I give up? Or should I just keep chasing pavement? Even if it leads nowhere...
IuseR 20:52, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- No, you should not give up. Just because there aren't many users who are in the Wikiproject does not mean that you should just quit it. I would think that if you keep it open, that eventually, you'll get good, active users. Razorflame 20:53, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks, I sure hope so. IuseR 20:57, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- You'll get the users you need eventually. It's all a matter of time. Razorflame 20:57, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Cool, well i'm gonna go and create a few more pages for the project. IuseR 21:03, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Ok then. Hope to see them when I get back on tomorrow. Razorflame 21:03, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
IuseR 11:49, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
- Checked over NME and decided to move it to it's full name. As for Adele, you did a good job, just remember to fix the categories in the end. Razorflame 17:21, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
The Plan
Ok, Here is my Long term project plan for Wikipedia:
If/When I have got about 25 members on my music project, I will request on Simple Talk that it becomes a proper, main wikipedia Page. If it becomes accpeted as a main wikipedia Page, then I will create: SimpleWikiProject Film, and when I reach about 25 members for that, I will then also request it to be a main page, if that becomes accepted, then I will start: SimpleWiki Project television, and the same with that. They will all be part of my Project empire which I will call: SimpleWikiProject Media. If the project is sucessful, I will go ontomake projects like: SimpleWikiProject Radio & SimpleWikiProject Art. It will be my Full time SimpleWikipedia Job to keep an eye on my projects and continue creating pages for them. What do you think? I may also do: SimpleWikiProject Literature. IuseR 11:56, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'll be waiting for the project to get off the ground. Razorflame 17:21, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
Adele
It is always worth checking the category tree, as all that was wrong with some of Adele was "female" --Bärliner 14:33, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
- All I did was remove some of the non-existant categories. Razorflame 14:34, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
- "English female singers" is not a cat, but you could have put her in "English singers", and the same with guitarists. That's why a quick can can be useful. --Bärliner 20:32, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'll make sure to look at the categories more closely in the future. Razorflame 20:34, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
Real world
Things get busy in the real world sometimes. I am likely to edit sporadically. adit (talk) 17:27, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
