Big Weekend change

I know you haven't been as active here as you once were, but I noticed that you were previously involved with Big Weekend events here on Simple. You are invited to see the ongoing discussion of a new Big Weekend event, which is taking place here. Etamni | ✉   (P.S. Your "click here to leave me a new comment" button sends people to your old account and opens a new comment section there, even though the page is a redirect. Might want to fix that! :) Etamni | ✉   17:54, 12 February 2016 (UTC))Reply

Thank you very much for informing me. Reception123/Receptie123 (talk) 07:07, 13 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Warning messages change

When you warn a user, please don't start with a level 3 message, as you did with the IP user 170.158.87.2. In most cases, start with level 1, but at most a level 2. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 19:21, 19 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Auntof6: I am really sorry for this, but the user has created a rather large number of "bad" pages and I thought a level 3 was appropriate. I have forgotten a few rules as I was a bit inactive recently. Sorry again! Reception123/Receptie123 (talk) 09:39, 20 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
Welcome back! When that happens, leave a level-1 or level-2 message (please use level 1 as much as possible). If they vandalize again, leave the next level message. Repeat until you've left a level-4 message and they vandalize again, then report at WP:VIP. If there haven't been enough warnings, they admins may not take any action. And, of course, with IPs, if enough time goes by between warnings, you have to back down to a lower level (because we can't be sure it's the same person). I look at it like this: the first message a user gets could be the first time they realize they shouldn't be doing something. It's nicer just to ask them not to keep doing it or tell them that what they're doing isn't OK than to immediately say "Stop or you'll be blocked!" --Auntof6 (talk) 10:54, 20 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
