Welcome change

Hello! I am assuming you have come over from the English Wikipedia, so you are probably familiar with the way this wiki works. I hope you like it here and decide to stay. Here are a few links to help you adjust:

There is much to do here. For example, there are a lot of articles that do not exist yet, which you can bring over from the English Wikipedia and simplify. Do have a look around and see what you would like to do. Thank you for joining us, and you know how to contact me if you need help. Vermont (talk) 23:52, 20 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Yep, I have come over from the English Wikipedia! It certainly is a nice wiki. Right now I'm mostly just reverting vandalism, but I might start creating/expanding pages at some point. :)--SkyGazer 512 (talk) 00:31, 21 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

To respond to your question, sysops are allowed to remove QD tags. Vermont (talk) 13:54, 21 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Vermont: Thanks. So only sysops can remove them? In that case, shouldn't that be on the documentation page of {{QD}} or in the quick deletion section of the deletion policy page?--SkyGazer 512 (talk) 13:58, 21 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
I thought it was, and it doesn't seem to be on the template itself either. Perhaps you could ask on WP:AN, as I am the newest administrator and may be incorrect, although I'm pretty sure that only administrators can decline QD's, but anyone can add a {{wait}} template. The thing is, the template specifically says "Please do not remove this notice from pages that you have created yourself." If the template goes out of the way to say that, then I would think it would just go ahead and say that no one except sysops can remove them if that were the case. Also, I've created a new topic on the admin noticeboard.--SkyGazer 512 (talk) 14:08, 21 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
