Vandal tip
changeWithout having rollback, one way I have dealt with multiple edits by a vandal is going to the last good version and editing. For instance, on Iron(III) oxide I would click on the date next to Auntof6. Then choose "Change source" at the top. You'll get a message that says you are editing an old version, which is fine. Just add an edit summary like "change to last good version" and then click publish changes. Hope that helps you deal with these vandal situations more quickly. Thanks for helping! --Tbennert (talk) 04:51, 27 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Tbennert: Thank you for your advice. T@hmid02016 (talk) 04:56, 27 October 2017 (UTC)
Rollback
changeAfter further review, you are more consistently warning editors. I have granted you the rollback right. Please only use it for cases of true vandalism. Any other edits needing undo, should be done through other methods. --Enfcer (talk) 02:53, 9 November 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. I am an experienced user in reverting vandal edits because I have the right in Wikidata. So, you can trust me. T@hmid02016 (talk) 07:52, 9 November 2017 (UTC)
- Noice, you got rollback. Computer Fizz (talk) 07:55, 9 November 2017 (UTC)
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz
changeHello, my english is not very good. Before undo my undo, check why I did it. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz Is a book not a TV serie, the page must talk about book. IPs have changed the page into a page about the series [1] (from the creation in mars 2012 to the modification by the IP on November 23, 2017 it was a page about the book) I have just undo that because there is no reason the page The Wonderful Wizard of Oz talks about the series and not about the book. If the IP wants a page about the TV serie, the ip has to create this page The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (series) but don't change the page about the book into a page about the series. By the way I did not find a series Wonderful Wizard of Oz started in 1999 ; and finally the IP is a crosswiki vandal changing true informations into false informations (on the french wikipedia (i'm a sysop) I had to protect an article to avoid that). - (talk page stalker) Thank you for catching this. I've warned the user who changed the article. --Tbennert (talk) 20:25, 28 November 2017 (UTC)
Quick deletion criteria
changeHello, you marked a few categories for "A2" deletion. Categories cannot be deleted for Ax reasons because A only applies to article space. If a category is empty (not necessarily has no content) after a few days then you can mark it for "C1" speedy deletion. I have removed your QD requests. Thanks, --Ferien (talk) 06:04, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Ferien: When I marked this page for deletion it was an empty page. The page had no content (see this version). Thats why I added 'no content' reason for deletion. T@hmid02016 (talk) 06:32, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
- Ok but "no content" does not apply to categories. Regards, --Ferien (talk) 07:34, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks! I will keep that in mind. T@hmid02016 (talk) 07:54, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
- Ok but "no content" does not apply to categories. Regards, --Ferien (talk) 07:34, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
