Current requests for patroller
change- BZPN (talk · contribs · count) (assign permissions)
- Hello. I've been on Simple Wiki for almost 3 months now, and since then I've created 47 articles, 4 categories, and improved 5 articles. I believe that I have gained enough skills and knowledge of the rules for my articles to be automatically marked as patrolled and for me to be able to patrol other users' articles. On plwiki I have similar permissions (editor), which proves my trustworthiness and sufficient technical knowledge of wikicode and the system. Best regards, BZPN (talk) 12:42, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
- I think a bit more time and article creation is needed but don't object if another admin wants to grant it as I do trust you fr33kman 22:06, 25 October 2024 (UTC)
Not done Hi! yeah Fr33kman is right. I think you need a bit more experience with simplifying. I went through some of your recent pages, and while structurally and in terms of wikification they are all excellent, some more work is needed when it comes to simplification. I recommend taking a look at some of the very good pages too see how you can simplify your pages. For example, Chasuble, that you recently created has a complex lead and history section, which can be further simplified. I will be happy to grant it in one month's time if you gain a little more experience in this area. Thank you :) --BRP ever 05:58, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- @BRPever, Thank you for handling this request. However, it seems to me that, for example, in the articles Antipope Felix V, Pallium or Fanon the style is simple enough (if I'm wrong, please correct me). I constantly create new articles and try to use simple but precisely descriptive vocabulary, because the reader needs to get some specific information from the article. Of course, I will try to create new articles in an even simpler way. BZPN (talk) 08:32, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- BZPN, in Antipope Felix V, there are a few parts that could be simplified, e.g. "his resignation helped pave the way for the election of Pope Nicholas V" could probably just be simplified to "his resignation helped Pope Nicholas V get elected". The patroller right is typically given to editors with a long history of article creation, usually hundreds of patrollable articles. The articles you're creating right now are good, they just need to be a little more simplified in order for us to say your articles don't need any checking at all.
