I am requesting Importer permission. My current need is to clean up the Template:Lang group of templates and categories.

Special:WantedTemplates lists over 80 templates of the Template:ISO 639 name xx type, where xx is the language code. These template calls are generated through calls to the group of Lang templates. They insert an xml lang code to help browsers display the text (working), and categories the article with Articles containing xxx language text (broken). Without the templates, over 500 articles are lumped into Category:Articles containing non-English language text. The corresponding language categories will also need to be imported.

Importer permission will also assist with my effort to keep the Template:Flagicon group of templates up to date, and expand the Formula One group of articles. Thank you.--The Three Headed Knight (talk) 22:08, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
