Wikipedia:Requests for permissions/Rollback/Archives/2022/March/Done

- Hello there. I am MrMeAndMrMe and I request the usage of rollback. I have multiple hundreds of reverts from vandalism and whatnot and I believe that I am eligible to use such a tool. I utilize twinkle though I am considering SWViewer. Though I have requested for this right before, my application was submitted a couple days after I had participated in an edit war, which I have learned from due to not being banned yet. I believe that I am responsible enough to use such a tool and I hope that I can help improve the Simple Wikipedia with a tool. I will not use this user privilege as any sort of leverage as it is merely a tool to help be a janitor here, nor will I use this tool for any usage except for vandalism, especially in cases in which edit warring may be involved(the exception, of course, being if the edit war is against a blatant vandal and not disruptive editing or good faith editing) and I have read the tool's respective guidelines, essays and rules. I hope that I may help the Simple Wikipedia become a greater place in the future with my help, and I promise to be at least somewhat active with the usage of this tool.
tl;dr, I'm a good user and will use this tool promptly and effectively. MrMeAndMrMeLet's talk 04:57, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
- No problems from me with the edit warring as the one who declined the request last time, although edit warring is not recommended even if something is blatant vandalism. Most of the time, instead of constantly reverting, it's best to request sysop attention via VIP or if there is no response and the vandal's continuing, ping admins on IRC or Discord. MrMeAndMrMe, you might also want to change your commment to "usage of rollback" as that is the permission you're requesting. --Ferien (talk) 16:06, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks, I have fixed it and I understand your comment. MrMeAndMrMeLet's talk 17:00, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
- Done - Reverts look good and great CVN work. Note the advice from Ferien and remember there is no edit summary with rollback, so if another editor can't figure out why the edit was wrong from a quick glance, you probably shouldn't be using rollback. Griff (talk) 02:38, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
