Zionist militias during the Jewish insurgency in Mandatory Palestine [ar; en] unofficial armed groups carried out attacks on Palestinian people and the British inhabitants of Mandatory Palestine, during the British Mandate of Palestine.[2][3][4] Israel Defense Forces was formed from the union of a large number of them 12 days after the declaration of the establishment of the State of Israel.[5]
