Zoran Milanović (pronounced [zǒran milǎːnoʋit͡ɕ]; born 30 October 1966) is a Croatian politician. In 2019, he became the 5th President of Croatia.

He was the Prime Minister of Croatia from 2011 to 2016. He has also been the leader of the Social Democratic Party of Croatia (SDP). It is the largest centre-left political party in Croatia, since 2007.

  1. Milanović was elected President under the nomination of the SDP. However, as per article 96 of the Constitution, he was required to resign his party membership prior to taking office.[1]
