Achim is a town in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is 16 km southeast of Bremen. The population in 2020 was about 32,000. It is on the right side of the Weser river.

History
changeIn the past the town has been part of various Duke's territories. The town was a location of Saxon courts in the 11th century. Danes, Swedes and French have controlled the region. In the 19th century, the town became part of the Kingdom of Hanover.
