Antony Blinken

U.S. Secretary of State since 2021

Antony John Blinken (born April 16, 1962)[1][2] is an American politician. Blinken is the 71st and current United States Secretary of State since January 26, 2021. He was the United States Deputy Secretary of State from 2015 to 2017 and Deputy National Security Advisor from 2013 to 2015 under President Barack Obama.

In November 2020, President-elect Joe Biden chose Blinken to be United States Secretary of State.[3] Blinken was confirmed by the Senate on January 26, 2021, in a 78-22 confirmation vote.[4]

He plays guitar and has two songs available on Spotify.[5]

In 2002, he married Evan Ryan. They have two daughters.[6]
