Cem Özdemir
Cem Özdemir (German: [ˌdʒɛm ˈʔœzdɛmiːɐ̯], Turkish: [dʒæm ˈœzdemiɾ]; born 21 December 1965) is a German politician of the party Alliance 90/The Greens who has been the Minister of Food and Agriculture since 2021.

Between 2008 and 2018, Özdemir was one of two main persons of the Green Party, together with Claudia Roth and later Simone Peter. He has been a Member of the German Bundestag since 2013. He was a Member of the German Bundestag in 1994–2002 too. He was a member of the European Parliament in 2004–2009 too.[1] He was a one of two main Greens candidates for the 2017 German federal election.[2] Since 2018, he has been the Leader of the Committee on Transport.
On December 16, 2020, he undertook support for Katsyaryna Barysevich, Belarusian political prisoner.[3] On May 31, 2021, he undertook support for Roman Protasevich, Belarusian political prisoner.[4][5]
