Glenavy is a small town in the South Island, New Zealand. It is 19 kilometers north of Oamaru and 63 kilometers south of Timaru on State Highway 1 and is near the Waitaki River on the Canterbury-Otago border. It has a primary school in the town. It was named after Glenavy in Northern Ireland.
