Timaru
town in New Zealand's South Island
Timaru is a city in the Timaru District, New Zealand. It is located on State Highway 1 and is 157 kilometers southeast of Christchurch and 196 kilometers northwest of Dunedin. It is surrounded by towns of Pleasant Point, Geraldine, Temuka and Waimate. It has 12 primary schools and 5 high schools situated in the city.
