History
changeThe first post office in Ingalls was created in May 1887 with the name Soule. It kept that name until May 1888.[4] The city was renamed for Kansas senator John James Ingalls.[5]
Ingalls could have been the county seat in the late 1880s. It once had the county offices.[6]
