List of mayors in Norway that were elected in 2023
In September and October 2023, every municipal council in Norway, held elections to choose mayor. Four years later, the municipal councils will elect mayors, again.
(Names were added to this page, as late as 2024's fourth quarter.)
Mayors of municipalities
change- Alstahaug municipality. The Centre Party, the Conservative Party, the Red Party, and the Liberal Party had the votes that elected Peter Talseth .[1][2][3] He is a member of the Centre Party. Furthermore, the municipality is in Nordland (county).
- Alta. The Labour Party, the Liberal Party, Socialist Left Party, Red Party, Centre Party, and KrF had the votes that elected Monica Nielsen as mayor; The mayor is a member of the Labour Party.[4] The party with the most votes in the local election (2023), is the Progress Party; It has 9 council members (of the 35).[5] Furthermore, Finnmark is the county again, since 2024. (Troms og Finnmark was the county).

- Asker. Lene Conradi;[1] Akershus is the county again, since 2024. (Viken was the county).
- Aure, Hanne Berit Brekken; Møre og Romsdal is the county.

- Balsfjord, Laila Monica Johannessen;[1] Troms is the county again, since 2024. (Troms og Finnmark was the county.)
- Bamble. Progress Party and the Conservative Party had the votes that elected Jon Pieter Flølo as mayor.[7] Telemark is the county again, since 2024. (Vestfold og Telemark was the county).
- Bjørnafjorden, Terje Søviknes;[1] Vestland is the county.
- Bodø. The votes from municipal-council members who belong to Conservative Party, the Progress Party, and Liberal Party, got the new mayor elected, Odd-Emil Ingebrigtsen.[8] More information: the mayor is a member of the Conservative Party. Furthermore, the municipality is in Nordland (county).
- Bokn (municipality), Egil Magne Våge;[1] Rogaland is the county.
- Brønnøy. Labour Party, Socialist Left Party, Red Party, Progress Party, Centre Party; All the council members voted for Siv Aglen.[9] Nordland is the county.
- Bø. Conservative Party and Progress Party had the votes that elected Sture Pedersen as mayor.[10][11] Nordland is the county.
- Bømlo, Morten Helland;[1] Vestland is the county.
- Deatnu - Tana. Centre Party, Conservative Party; Jon Erland Balto. Troms og Finnmark is the county.[12]

- Fauske. Labour Party, Centre Party, Socialist Left Party; Marlen Rendall Berg became mayor.[17] She is a member of the Centre Party. - Hemnes. The mayor was chosen by lottery; On October 12, there was first one election, which did not result in enough votes (majority), to elect a mayor; Later that day there was another election (to elect a mayor); Again there were not enough votes for any of the candidates; A lottery that was held later that day, decided the mayor, Paul Asphaug; He was not chosen by a majority of votes; He is a member of the Centre Party.[27] Furthermore, Nordland is the county. (There was a lottery in Norway in 1977, that also resulted in a mayor getting elected.[27]

- In the Conservative Party, the leader of its network of mayors is Tom Georg Indrevik.[89]
