Los Andes Province, Chile
Los Andes Province (Spanish: Provincia de Los Andes) is one of eight provinces of the central Chilean region of Valparaíso (V).

Geography
changeThe Los Andes province has an area of 3,054.1 sq mi (7,910 km2), the second largest province in the Valparaíso region after the Petorca province.[2]
Los Andes is a landlocked province (it does not border the ocean) and is bordered on the west and north by the San Felipe de Aconcagua province, on the east by Argentina and on the south by the Santiago Metropolitan region.

changeAs of 2002[update] (last national census), there were 91,683 people living in the province, giving it a population density of 30.0 inhabitants/km².[2]
The largest city of the province is Los Andes, its capital, with a population, in 2002, of 60,198 inhabitants.
Administration
changeAs a province, Los Andes is a second-level administrative division, consisting of four communes (comunas). The city of Los Andes serves as the provincial capital. The province is administered by a governor.
