Naoko Wowsugi is a Korean-Japanese Artist based in Washington D.C [1] .Wowsugi’s art uses themes of connection through meditation and photos. [2][3] She came to the U.S in 2001 (dirt.com), soon after she nearly got hit by a Cadillac. [4]Then,she saw a man, who took her to a ritual.[4] This was the start of her art through meditation. Meditation is the practice of clearing your mind.
Career
changeNaoko Wowsugi went to the Osaka University of Arts and the Kansas City Art Institute getting a Bachelor of fine art degree. She also went to Virginia Commonwealth university. Getting a Master of Fine Arts degree. (Dirt.com)( American university of washington D.C) Some of her most famous pieces are Tea(r)ism and The Umami Taste Development center.
