Georgette Vidor Mello (05/10/1958) was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.[1] Vidor worked as gymnastics coach.[1] She has had a lot of jobs, including 40 years as head of artistic gymnastics, and 20 years as a coach at Clube de Rogatos de Flamengo, 15 years with the Brazilian National Women's Team, and 4 years as coordinator of the womens national teams.[1] Under Vidor’s coaching, team Brazil won their first Pan American Gold Medals, and first world medal.[1] Vidor unfortunately had a tragic accident, leaving her paraplegic, but she still went on to coach more top athletes.[1] Additionally, she also had a political career.[1] In 2002, she was elected State Representative, with a succesful 50,350 votes.[1] Vidor later became a Deputy and created the first Permanent Commission in Defense of People with Disabilities in State Legislative Assemblies in Brazil, and created the accessibility seal, and held seminars every year.[1] Vidor was part of the party executive, helping to prepare others for their jobs.[1] To this day, Vidor is Head of Municipal Secretariat for People with Disabilities, a job she has held since May 2011.[1] With this job, Vidor launched a new system, which is supported by three ideas: organization, commitment, and professional qualification.[1]
